I'm not one to toot my own horn. So I'll let others do it for me. In April 2013, The Grace Painter will be going on a book blog tour. Below is a link to take you to the tour spots. You can see what the experts think of the book. And then below the link are excerpts from Amazon reviews of "The Grace Painter," and my second novel, "Battle Scream."

"One of the best action suspense books for 2013."
Beginning with the opening lines of "I need help, Matt. Come
quickly. Come alone.", The Grace Painter is filled with non-stop action and
intrigue! This is one of the best action/suspense books I have read in the past
few months. Once I started reading, I did not want to be interrupted. I felt I
had been thrown into the dense Atchafalaya Basin of south Louisiana. I will not
post spoilers, but this book has so many layers of interest! The plot combines
the forces of evil people, an innocent child, a deadly storm, drug runners, law
enforcement with the FBI, and some courageous heroes. Before the book ends there
is a mystery twist revealed which I did not see coming. 5-stars, Diane

Tightly paced suspense novel--Great Characters.
"The Grace painter" is a fast-paced thriller with well-drawn, believable characters
on both sides of the moral fence. Jon and Annie had a good rapport, and great
backstories that gave them depth and complexity. The author has a way with
imagery, dialogue, and creating atmosphere that reminds me perhaps of Tess
Gerritsen or Iris Johansen. "The Grace Painter" starts with a shock and holds
the suspense and tension all the way to the last page. 4-stars, Erica Lucas
Thrilling and entertaining.
The narration is firm and the story swift as it unfolds from the gates of a prison
to a house with deep secrets on an island. The book has very lively characters,
with a somewhat darker atmosphere. Thrilling and entertaining. There is still
some good in this world. 4–stars, George Shadow, author of The Black Book.
Good characterization and an intriguing plot.
This was a pretty suspenseful thriller, and I enjoyed it all the more for the fact that it rarely felt as though it dragged. Each time a new central character is introduced, there might be a chapter where we are quickly brought up to speed about them, but then they're thrust right into the fray. Each character is distinct enough that I could keep their names and personalities straight. I liked the ending; it tied up the events nicely. The story was well formatted and edited, which is icing on the cake. I'd definitely recommend this book. 4-stars, Atomskeater
Battle Scream Reviews:
“Battle Scream” by Mark Romang is a fictionalized account of the Spiritual warfare going on all around us, unseen by human eyes, every minute of every day. As Mark is careful
to point out, he used literary license to make the story more universally
entertaining, but the basics of “Battle Scream” are spot on accurate and true.
Most Christians are quite well aware of the Spiritual warfare for our hearts and
minds on Earth, and understand that Spiritual battle is
the reason so many bad things happen to everyone, everywhere, all the time.
Non-Christians, along with “baby” Christians, really should read this book… as
well as their Bible… to learn about this ongoing war. Whether they choose to
believe it or not is their prerogative, but Truth does not depend on belief to
remain true.
In “Battle Scream”, a Navy SEALS unit is investigating a Taliban tunnel system, leading through the bleak Hindu-Kush Mountains from Pakistan to Afghanistan. Petty Officer First
Class Andrew Maddix stepped on a mine, which took off his right leg below the
knee. In shock, he was near death when he suddenly could see himself from above,
watching as his fellow SEALS tried to stop the bleeding.
A brilliant light began approaching Maddix, until he could make out that it was an
Angel. This Angel was sent to lead Maddix on a visit to Hell, so he could see
what he would be up against later in his life. Then the Angel told Maddix God
had chosen him since before time began, to lead a resistance against Satan. From
that point until the end of this book, the action is non-stop.
Mark Romang has done his homework. He is well aware of the many ways Satan has of
turning people’s hearts away from God, as well as his tricks to make life
difficult for true believers. His knowledge of such truths has empowered him to
present a remarkable “action-packed suspense novel” to engage readers, so God
can inform those readers about the battle for their very lives. “Battle Scream”
by Mark Romang should be on every Christian’s bookshelf; every Christian should
be lending their copy of “Battle Scream” to their unsaved friends.
Mark Romang’s “Battle Scream” may be the single most important novel you read this year. I cannot stress strongly enough that everybody should read this novel. When the sequel is
released, I expect to recommend it just as ardently.
5 -stars, Grampy Lee, Goodreads review.
Excellent.
I enjoyed this book and hope this author will continue in this genre. I think he glorified the Lord and that makes the book doesn't it? 5-stars, Tahme
Awesome.
We obviously don't physically battle demons as they do in the book, but it gave an interesting perspective on spiritual warfare and how real it is. I loved the main character, the plot, and everything about this book. A very exciting and interesting read. 5-stars, Mark B.
Way over the top, there is truth in here.
This is spiritual warfare brought out into the open almost comic book style. The principles are truth and fairly well done. The modern American action figure against the most grotesque evil is a bit over the top. But it is an intriguing story, well done. 4-stars, David B.
Battle Storm Reviews:
Hair-raising excitement!
I was so engrossed in this suspenseful story that I couldn't concentrate on my school work, or house work. When I wasn't reading I was thinking about the characters in the story. This wonderful book had me crying with great sorrow and celebrating with joy overflowing. AMEN! One of the best series I've read. 5 stars, Luna
This book will leave you racing for his next...
Mark Romang truly has the hand of God directing his pen. Thank you Mark Romang for listening and acting upon our savior's calling in such a mighty way. Your stories are remarkable, exciting, challenging, thought-provoking, contribute to life changes. Awesome. 5-stars, Pat Forbes
Gripping!
This book was as good as the first one and now I can't wait for the next book in the series. Mr. Romang takes you on a fast-paced journey that will keep you up long past your bedtime. 5-stars, Carla S. Underwood
